- The Cleveland Browns have +1400 odds to win the Super Bowl.
- Russell Wilson has helped shift the Denver Broncos SB odds to +1400.
- Both the Atlanta Falcons and Indianapolis Colts have +2800 Super Bowl odds.
PHOENIX – The NFL offseason is in full effect and many different quarterbacks have changed teams which has caused a major shift in the Super Bowl 57 odds. Teams that saw a QB change this offseason include the Cleveland Browns, Denver Broncos, Atlanta Falcons, Indianapolis Colts, and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Cleveland Browns, +1400
The Cleveland Browns made arguably the biggest move of the offseason as they traded for Deshaun Watson. Watson had been dealing with 22 counts of alleged sexual misconduct in which a grand jury opted to not prosecute. Watson still has civil cases and could potentially see a suspension from the NFL.
Watson last played in 2020 where he led the league in passing yards with 4,823 yards and is the best option under center that the Browns have had in recent years.
With the acquisition of Watson, Super Bowl betting sites shifted the Browns' odds from +3000 down to +1400.
Denver Broncos, +1400
Another major offseason move came with the Denver Broncos as they traded for Russell Wilson. Many have stated that the Broncos were just a quarterback away from contending for a Super Bowl and now that they have one of the elites under center, it is their time to prove this. The Broncos saw a slight shift from +1600 odds down to +1400.
Atlanta Falcons, +2800
The Atlanta Falcons were in pursuit of Deshaun Watson but ultimately fell short. However, that did not stop them from moving on from long-time quarterback Matt Ryan. With that, they have signed Marcus Mariota to a two-year deal. Mariota was the starting quarterback under head coach Arthur Smith during their time together with the Tennessee Titans. Many have high hopes for the Falcons in the upcoming season as they shifted from their +5000 preseason odds to +2800.
Indianapolis Colts, +2800
One man’s failure could be another man’s success and that is what transpired with the Indianapolis Colts with Matt Ryan under center. Ryan has stated that he waived his trade clause for the Colts being that they are a win now team. This could be the best offensive unit that Ryan has played for in his career as they have a proven offensive line, a young, talented receiving core, and one of the top up and coming running backs. Although they have made this significant move, the Colts did shift back from +2500 odds down to +2800.
Pittsburgh Steelers, +5000
With Big Ben Roethlisberger retiring from the NFL, many thought that the Pittsburgh Steelers would have trouble finding his replacement. They did not take long though as they signed former Buffalo Bills backup, Mitchell Trubisky as their new starting quarterback. This has been seen as a questionable move as Trubisky is not the most efficient quarterback, having thrown for 64 career touchdowns and a total of 38 interceptions. The move has shifted their odds backwards from +4000 to +5000.
