- Jameis Winston has +3000 odds to lead the NFL in passing yards.
- The Las Vegas Raiders have +3500 odds to win the Super Bowl.
- There are +4000 odds on Jonathan Taylor to lead in rushing yards and Justin Jefferson to lead in receiving yards.
LAS VEGAS – The NFL preseason is finally here meaning right now is the perfect time to get in on some futures odds at some longer value before odds potentially shift them throughout the regular season. Whether it’s team futures or player props, there is some tremendous value to be made across the board before the season.
Can Jameis Winston Have Another Elite Season?
At +3000, Jameis Winston has an opportunity to lead the league in passing yards this season and it is strange that his odds are not shorter. Winston is being set up nicely with an incredible receiving core of Michael Thomas, Jarvis Landry, and rookie Chris Olave. Not to mention he also has one of the better pass-catching running backs in the league in Alvin Kamara.
Winston is no stranger to leading the NFL in passing yards as he did so once before back in 2019 where he went for 5,109 yards. Winston and the Saints are the top-15 for easiest schedules for quarterbacks this season and it isn’t hard to see why. They have two matchups against the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers who each have below-average secondaries and a matchup with the Seattle Seahawks who let up the second-most passing yards last season.
Did The Raiders Do Enough To Win It All?
Last season, the Las Vegas Raiders showed spurts of why they could be Super Bowl contenders and now with the additions of Davante Adams and Chandler Jones, they are legitimate contenders despite being at +3500 odds. The team is coming off of a playoff run last season and added two superstar-caliber players to both ends of the field.
Both Derek Carr and Davante Adams have already built chemistry playing with one another at Fresno State where they broke countless records together. If that chemistry is restored in the pros the league will certainly be put on blast. As for Chandler Jones, many are quick to forget that he led the NFL QB pressure last season. That said, their odds are certainly worth the risk early on.
Jonathan Taylor, Justin Jefferson Might Be Most Valuable Odds
These +4000 odds could be the most valuable on this list. They are that both Jonathan Taylor and Justin Jefferson will lead the league in rushing and receiving yards respectively. The reason they are the most valuable is because both are already favored in the single odds to lead the league in each category. Jonathan Taylor has +450 odds to lead in rushing yards while Jefferson is a +800 favorite to lead in receiving yards.
Taylor finished as the leader last season and with the best offensive line in the league and some of the highest usage, he is set up nicely to do so again. Jefferson finished second last season in receiving yards, however, the case for him to finish first this season is strong being that he has upped he upped his yardage from 1,400 in year one to 1,616 in year two. If he can make another drastic jump, it could very well be enough for him to secure the top spot.
