Breaking Down Cowboys, Vikings, Bucs NFC Championship Odds

• There are +300 odds for the Dallas Cowboys to win the NFC Championship.
• The Minnesota Vikings have +600 odds to win the NFC.
• The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have +900 odds to win the NFC title.

DALLAS – The race is on in the NFC as teams are narrowing in on the NFC Championship before the playoffs begin. Different teams are starting to pull away from the rest of the field and their odds to win the NFC title still offer plenty of value.

There are currently five teams that NFL betting sites have listed with odds under +1000 to win the NFC Championship. Those include the Dallas Cowboys, Minnesota Vikings, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys might be the most complete team not only in the NFC, but in the NFL as they are top five in both points per game (27.8) and points allowed per game (17.2). The Cowboys have a decent remaining schedule with their opponents combining for a 33-33-2 record including games against both Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars who are both near eliminated from the playoffs.

The Cowboys odds have been competitive all year after their NFC Championship odds opened at +1900 and have shot down each week since as they haven’t lost two consecutive games once this season leading to their 9-3 record.

The Cowboys currently lead the league in their winning margin which sits at +10.6 on average. Being that they shared the division with the first-place Philadelphia Eagles, a bye week might not be in their cards.

Minnesota Vikings

Currently sitting a position of out the bye week through the first round, the Minnesota Vikings odds to win the NFC remain at the fourth shortest despite a 10-2 record for second place in the conference. They are likely going to finish the season strong with four of their five remaining games coming against opponents that sit under a .500 record.

Leading the way for them has been Justin Jefferson who is second in the league in receiving yards at 1,277. He has helped improve their odds tremendously from the +1800 opening position before the season to under +1000 which is where they have been for most of the year.

Thankfully, they haven’t had any significant injuries that would appear to hold them back, but some notable names that could be of worry on both sides of the ball are defensive end, Jonathan Bullard and offensive tackle, Christian Darrisaw.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The main thing holding the Buccaneers odds afloat right now is Tom Brady’s name alone. In a weak NFC South conference, Brady and the Bucs are in first place with a 5-6 record, however, they have the ultimate chance to turn things around in their last six games with their opponents holding a 21-29 record on the season. That includes games against the New Orleans Saints, Arizona Cardinals, Carolina Panthers, and Atlanta Falcons, all of which are 3+ games under .500 and inching closer to elimination.

At their +900 odds that they currently sit at, it is just the second time in Tom Brady’s career that he is beyond Week 13 with odds at or above +900. The last time this happened, Brady went on to not just win the conference title, but the Super Bowl as well in 2001.

The Bucs have been plagued with injuries all season to several key pieces including Tristan Wirfs, Leonard Fournette, Vita Vea, and Akiem Hicks. With six games remaining on their schedule though, it’s enough time for them to get healthy in time for a playoff run behind the G.O.A.T.
