ORLANDO – The 3-2 Seattle Sea Dragons face off with the 0-5 Orlando Guardians as 9.5-point favorites. The Guardians have struggled to compete thus far in the XFL’s revamped season, explaining their +315 money line odds to take down the Sea Dragons at home.
The Guardians are coming off their best offensive showing of the season, scoring 32 points in a loss against the Las Vegas Vipers.
Seattle most recently handed the Houston Roughnecks their first loss of the season in week four, beating them by a score of 21-14.
The Guardians have played the Roughnecks twice, losing by 21 in week one and 28 in week four.
The most impressive part of the Sea Dragons victory is their ability to limit the XFL’s highest scoring team to 14 points. The Houston Roughnecks have scored 18 touchdowns in five games, giving credit to the Sea Dragon’s defense against a struggling Orlando offense.
In addition to great defense, the Seattle Sea Dragons’ offense will expose the Guardians defense.
The Guardians have given up 30.4 points per game this season, the worst in the XFL. Ben DiNucci and the Sea Dragons lead the XFL in passing yards.
The matchup of the red-hot Ben Dinucci and the poor Guardians defense is excellent for the 9.5 point spread on football sportsbooks.

These two teams do not score very often. The Sea Dragons and Guardians each scored far more than usual when they played the Las Vegas Vipers.

The main takeaway from the Guardians offensive explosion last week is that the Vipers have a bad defense and not that the Guardians are turning a page offensively.
The Seattle Sea Dragons scored 30 against the Las Vegas Vipers in week three, 12 more points than their 18 point per game average in their other four games.
Even considering the two scoring outliers against the Vipers, the Guardians and Sea Dragons combine to average 36.6 points per game. Their combined averages are a touchdown less than the total, giving value to the under on XFL sportsbooks.
In addition to their collective low scoring offenses, the Sea Dragons defense has been very good.
Seattle limited the San Antonio Brahmas and the Houston Roughnecks to a combined 20 points in their last two games.
