- The Philadelphia Eagles have +750 odds to win the Super Bowl.
- D’Andre Swift was traded to the Eagles during the 2023 NFL Draft.
- The Eagles drafted Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith, Kelee Ringo, and others.
PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia Eagles were the story of the NFL Draft and some might even take away that they were the main winners coming out of it as well. Super Bowl oddsmakers feel the same way as their odds jumped ahead of both the Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers for the second shortest odds at +750
They were able to draft key players and make trades that would make them stronger than they were last season and seemingly made their Super Bowl 58 a whole lot stronger at the top.
Eagles Draft Picks & Offseason Moves
Starting with how the Philadelphia Eagles drafted, they traded up to the ninth overall pick with the Chicago Bears and selected defensive tackle, Jalen Carter out of Georgia. They then took another Georgia Bulldog later in the first round and pick 30 with linebacker, Nolan Smith. In the fourth round, they took cornerback, Kelee Ringo, also out of Georgia. That now makes it five defensive Georgia Bulldogs drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles over the last two drafts (Jordan Davis, Nakobe Dean 2022).
All five of them were a part of the Bulldogs National Championship team in 2021 while the players from this year’s draft class won the 2022 National Championship as well.
They also pulled off a draft night trade for another former Bulldog in running back D’Andre Swift who they got for a fourth and seventh-round pick.
Other notable offseason moves made by the Eagles include the signings of Terrell Edmunds and Greedy Williams, Justin Evans, Kentavius Street, and Rashad Penny.
Eagles Super Bowl Odds Journey
Of the Eagles, Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, and San Francisco 49ers opening Super Bowl odds, the Eagles were in the longest position at +1000. They remained there until the end of March when they evened up their odds with the Bills at +875.
After the first night of the draft, the Eagles odds officially jumped the Bills and were directly behind the 49ers. Following the draft, the Eagles jumped to +750 leaving both the Bills and 49ers in the third and fourth shortest odds.
