AFC Championship Betting: Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen Props

  • There are +125 odds for Josh Allen to run for 60+ yards.
  • Patrick Mahomes’ passing attempt total is set at 36.5.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A massive QB battle is set for the AFC Championship between the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills. Both Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen are two of the best, if not the top-2 QBs in the league.

That being said, Super Bowl sportsbooks have several valued odds for them and bettors should be taking advantage of them as soon as possible.

Allen Sees Plus Money Value On The Ground

Josh Allen Alternate Rushing Yard Total

  • 60+ Rush Yards: +125

While 60 yards is an intimidating number even for some running backs, there is reason to get behind these Bills prop odds even at the plus money odds.

Allen is as mobile a QB as they come having rushing for 500+ yards in six of seven seasons in his career. This season, Allen has rushed for 60+ yards twice this season and both have come towards the backend of the year.

The value to look at with this one is the matchup against Kansas City. This season the Chiefs have allowed the seventh most rush yards to opposing QBs.

Historically, Allen has also torched Kansas City on the ground when playing against them in the playoffs. In three playoff games against Kansas City in his career, Allen has rushed for 88, 68, and 72 yards and is averaging a massive 7.6 yards per carry as well.

Patrick Mahomes Not Shying Away From Passes Vs. Bills

Patrick Mahomes Total Passing Attempts

  • Over 36.5 -105
  • Under 36.5 -125

Similar to Allen’s situation, we’re looking at trends to back these Chiefs prop odds as Mahome’s tosses the ball more often than not against the Bills than any other team. He’s gone over the 36.5 attempt mark in three of five regular season matchups with Buffalo and in two of the three playoff matchups as well.

As for how he’s done on the season, he’s averaging 36.3 pass attempts per game and has the third most passing in the NFL. He finished the season going over in 11 of 16 games that he’s played and finished the year going over in nine of 10 games.
