TAMPA BAY, Fla. — The moves by both Tom Brady and Philip Rivers were both franchise-changing moves. The addition of Brady for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers makes them one of the most lethal offenses in the league. Rivers to the Indianapolis Colts brings a much-needed leadership presence to their locker room.

With these monumental moves, NFL betting sites have released odds on which teams will have more wins. The Buccaneers vs. the Patriots and the Colts vs. Chargers.

Buccaneers Vs. Patriots

With Tom Brady leaving the New England Patriots, will they still be a powerhouse team in the AFC? They need to worry about finding a new starting quarterback first. They currently have Jarrett Stidham as their starter.

Even though Brady left, they still have quality players that make up this team. Julian Edelman is still a top receiver in the league along with Mohamed Sanu. Their running game isn’t all that bad either with Sony Michele and James White. Their defense, which was at the top of the league last year, is still intact as well. Without a starting-caliber quarterback, however, they are expected to struggle.

They have an Over/Under win total of 9.5 games and are owners of the leagues toughest schedule in 2020 as their opponents have a combined win total of .537.

For the Buccaneers, adding Tom Brady was a huge momentum shifter for them. They managed to add the greatest quarterback of all time to a lethal receiving core of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.

They still need to figure out their run game, as obviously Ronald Jones is not the answer. That should not be too hard as there have been reports of many players wanting to join Brady in Tampa.

This is going to be a fun and explosive team to watch this upcoming season. Their Over/Under for team wins next year is nine games. They are tied for the 16th toughest schedule in the league with their opponents having a combined win total of .502.

For bettors, this could end up being a close call on who to pick to win more games. Unless the Patriots bring in a starting-caliber quarterback, they will be tough to watch. It also doesn’t help that they have to face the league's toughest schedule. Unless Bill Belichick could somehow work his magic, bettors can expect Tom Brady and the new look Buccaneers to walk away with more wins.

The Patriots are the favorites to win more games than the Bucs at -130 odds while the Bucs are at +110 odds. Choosing the Bucs would be a nice underrated pick.

Chargers Vs. Colts

With Philip Rivers leaving, it doesn’t leave the Los Angeles Charges in such a bad position. They still have an offense that has the potential to be good with the right guy under center.

Guys like Austin Ekeler, Keenan Allen and Hunter Henry make up this offense. The defense is still a powerhouse with Derwin James, Joey Bosa, and Casey Hayward. Not to mention, they just added Chris Harris from the Denver Broncos.

Unfortunately, for them, they will have to rely on Tyrod Taylor as QB1. He has not yet shown that he has the experience or talent to lead this team to where it needs to be.

Last season, Taylor only recorded 33 yards passing and one touchdown for the Chargers. Granted he only had six pass attempts during the season, but there just isn’t a whole lot of film on him playing in this offense.

They have an Over/Under of 7.5 wins for the 2020 season and also own a low 23rd toughest schedule in the league with their opponents combined record at .492. They aren’t in a tough spot at all but they just need to find the right man to fill in at quarterback.

For the Indianapolis Colts, bringing in Philip Rivers was an underrated move. Rivers is joining a rising Colts team that is looking to benefit from his leadership personality. T.Y. Hilton is a great veteran presence for Rivers while Zach Pascal and Parris Campbell are up and coming receivers.

They also have a top-five offensive line in the league led by Quenton Nelson. Their defense also just got a bulk up as they added DeForst Buckner from the San Francisco 49ers.

This team is looking to make some noise next year. Their Over/Under win total is set at eight games and they are tied for the 16th toughest schedule in the league as well.

The Chargers might have a deeper team here, but as long as Tyrod Taylor is under center, bettors can put their money on the Colts to win more games with ease. Rivers is a proven quarterback and leader that should bring a winning energy to Indy. The Colts are favored to win more games than the Chargers at -145 odds while the Chargers are at +125 odds.
