However, barring any major changes throughout the season, Lawrence will certainly be the first player selected as teams look to bring in a franchise quarterback. Lawrence is projected to go first in Walter Football’s 2021 Mock Draft to whoever ends up in that number 1 spot.

This would allow the Jags to get their QB1 of the future, adding some stability to a team that has seen little of it at the quarterback position over the years.

However, hot on their heels of failure are the Washington Redskins, and Carolina Panthers, who are both facing some tough seasons ahead of them. This group leads the pack in the odds for most regular-season losses in 2020.

All those teams could certainly benefit from Lawrence’s services heading forward, with the Jaguars and Redskins both continuing second-year quarterback experiments this season. Only time will tell if Gardner Minshew and Dwayne Haskins prove themselves to be long time answers, but in the meantime, bettors will continue to speculate.
