- The Titans are three-point favorites over the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football.
- The first half O/U total for this game is 20.5.
- The Tennessee Titans have a 1-6 record ATS in their last seven games against the Denver Broncos.
DENVER – The first week of NFL betting action has been filled with excitement as upsets and stellar performances filled the weekend slate of games.
That momentum should carry into the Monday night games as the NFL blesses fans with a doubleheader of matchups.
The first game will be a meeting between the Pittsburgh Steelers - New York Giants while the Tennessee Titans take on the Denver Broncos at Mile High Stadium to close out Week 1.
The Broncos are a team expected to show improvement after finishing the 2019 season with a 7-9 record. Second-year quarterback Drew Lock will be tasked with leading Denver back into the playoffs for the first time since 2015.
He’ll have a better supporting cast around him this year as the Broncos signed Melvin Gordon in free agency and spent their first-round draft pick on wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.
However, the Broncos will be without their defensive leader Von Miller this season and they’ll miss him on the edge especially when trying to stop Titans running back Derrick Henry.
Tennessee will look to build off of the momentum from a season ago as they rode Derrick Henry to the AFC Championship game.
Ryan Tannehill will have his first full season under center making this year Titans a threat to beat any team. The Titans added Jadeveon Clowney to their defense in free agency which should help the defense stifle the Broncos offense.
Tennessee Titans (-3) vs. Denver Broncos @ 10:15 p.m. EST
The Titans are three-point favorites over the Denver Broncos as the road team in this matchup.
History sides with the underdog Broncos when betting ATS as the Titans have posted a 1-6 record ATS in their last seven games facing Denver. Still, it’s hard to overlook the success the Titans had at the end of last season if leaning towards betting on them.
The Denver defense will be shorthanded without Von Miller and the departure of Chris Harris Jr. also leaves a void in the defense.
The Titans lost defensive back Logan Ryan via free agency and his absence will be felt as the Denver passing attack between Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy, and Noah Fant will stretch this Titans defense thin which is why the over on the 41 point total should be taken by bettors.
The moneyline will be where most of the bets on this matchup are placed. The Titans -165 odds are worth the extra investment for Tennessee bettors and anyone fishing for an upset, a Broncos win would net those bettors a return on +145 odds.
Player Prop Bet of the Game
Derrick Henry O/U Total Rushing Yards – 96.5:
- Over -120
- Under -110
Winner: Over (-120). Titans running back Derrick Henry will be the heart of the Titans offense this season. The reigning NFL rushing leader will face a weakened Broncos front that has allowed 87.8 rushing yards over their last four games (with Von Miller).
Henry should easily be able to eclipse 96.5 rushing yards in this contest as the Titans will look to establish the run early. Last season, Henry had one of the worst performances of the season at Mile High Stadium with 15 rushes for 28 yards.
Expect him to avenge last year’s performance by going over 100 yards and adding in a touchdown on Monday Night Football. Take the over for this prop and hope the Titans get out to an early lead so Henry can see 20+ carries in the season opener.
The Titans-Broncos game is scheduled to kickoff at 10:15 p.m. EST and will be broadcasted by ESPN.
