- The San Francisco 49ers are favored to win the NFC West with +180 odds.
- The Los Angeles Rams have the second shortest odds to win the division at +190.
SAN FRANCISCO - As the NFL season continues to close in, there are plenty of different futures odds for NFL bettors to hop on and take advantage of early for the best possible payouts.
One of the futures odds that bettors should be taking note of on NFL sportsbooks are the odds to win the NFC West division where the San Francisco 49ers have slowly but surely been inching their way up the odds board.
NFC West Division Odds To Win
- San Francisco 49ers +180
- Los Angeles Rams +190
- Seattle Seahawks +300
- Arizona Cardinals +500
The NFC West is considered by many to be the toughest division in all of the NFL and the fact that San Francisco 49ers are seen as the favorites should speak volumes.
Many are quick to forget that before the 49ers injury-riddled 2020 season, they were, in fact, the Super Bowl runner-ups in 2019.
By all means, they have what it takes to compete with the best teams in the league as they have a fresh young and explosive rookie quarterback in Trey Lance, a top-3 tight end in George Kittle, above-average receivers with Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk.
Not to mention, their defense has endless amounts of potential being that they are led by arguably the best young defensive end in the league, Nick Bosa, and linebacker, Fred Warner, as well.
That alone should shift bettors towards the 49ers NFC West odds .
However, being that this is arguably the toughest division in the entire NFL, their competition amongst the division teams is unmatched. The team that some might think the 49ers do not have to worry about too much are the Arizona Cardinals.
The Cardinals proved to be one of the more explosive teams in the league in 2020, however, they did not make many significant moves in the offseason that would push them over the 49ers.
One of the only moves they made was adding James Conner, who has not managed to stay healthy for a full season in his career. They also added J.J. Watt, but with him being late in his career, there is no telling how productive he can be.
Moving on, the Seattle Seahawks could give the 49ers a run for their money considering their offense is known as one of the top in the league. However, their defense has not lived up to their expectations as they allowed for the second-most passing yards in the league in 2020.
One thing to keep an eye on though is that the Seahawks have recently been linked to Julio Jones and have reportedly made an offer to acquire his services. If they were to land Jones, the 49ers would have their hands full holding on to the top spot on the division odds board.
Where the 49ers will find the most trouble in the division is with the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams have a new face under center in Matthew Stafford, which many consider to be a significant upgrade.
The Rams also have one of the top defenses in the league along with the 49ers. Their offense is also just starting to get their wheels turning as well as they have a solid running game and great receivers to rely on and not to mention, they have also been linked to acquiring Julio Jones as well.
All in all, the one thing that the 49ers have that most of the other teams do not is their chemistry as they click on both sides of the ball which has led to them making the Super Bowl. Being that they are far ahead on the chemistry spectrum, bettors could get in on their odds to win the NFC West early before they potentially shorten throughout the season.
