- Jamal Adams has not reported to the Seahawks mandatory minicamp over contract talks.
- The Seahawks Super Bowl odds have shifted from +2200 to +2500.
- The Seahawks win total for the season is set at 9.5 wins.
SEATTLE — In not so shocking fashion, Seattle Seahawks safety, Jamal Adams, is a no show at the Seahawks mandatory minicamp as he plans on holding out for a contract extension after his rookie deal comes to an end.
Seahawks’ safety Jamal Adams officially will not participate in Seattle’s mandatory minicamp this week, per sources.

Adams has already sat out of the team’s optional training camp for the same reason. However, being that this is a mandatory training camp, the Seahawks do have the option to fine him but have opted not to do so in hoped to use that as leverage for a new deal.
With that said, New York Jets fans and bettors are very familiar with this as he pulled this stunt once before which eventually landed him with the Seahawks. Now that this is happening again with the Seahawks, NFL sportsbooks have acted quickly as they have shifted different Seattle odds.
Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl, NFC Championship, NFC West Odds
- Super Bowl: +2500
- NFC Championship: +1100
- NFC West: +300
Looking at the Seattle Seahawks’ odds across the board, there has not been a shift in their odds to win the NFC Championship, however, their Super Bowl odds have taken a nice jump in the wrong direction.
The Seahawks Super Bowl odds opened up towards the top of the odds board with +2000 odds have shot back since. After the NFL Draft, they saw their odds listed at around +2200 and now with the news that Jamal Adams could potentially be holding out, their odds have gone back even more to +2500.
Knowing this, NFL bettors should be keeping an eye on Adams’ situation if they are planning to bet on any of the Seahawks’ odds as there could be more opportunities to get them with the potential of a bigger payout.
Seattle Seahawks Win Total
- Over 9.5 Wins -150
- Under 9.5 Wins +120
Due to the expansion of the season from 16 to 17 games, a 9.5 game win total might not seem like much to meet, however, considering that they are in arguably the toughest division in the NFL in the NFC West, they could see some trouble here, especially if Adams’ opts out even longer.
The Seahawks defense was nowhere near where many thought it would be after they acquired Adams as they were, in fact, the second-worst team in passing yards allowed per game after allowing opposing quarterbacks to throw for 293.6 ypg. Not to mention, they allowed 4,560 passing yards on the season as a whole.
Being that every team in the NFC West has gotten much better in the offseason, if Adams does hold out into the season, their win total could be in jeopardy of potentially hitting the Under – something great for underdog NFL betting players.
Some odds that should receive a notable mention throughout the season are player props for opposing quarterbacks throughout the season, more specifically, their passing yard totals when facing the Seahawks. Bettors should take note that if Adams is not on the field this season, the Over for passing yards for every quarterback facing Seattle could be a pot of gold.
