Not Much Has Changed
Looking back at the 49ers Super Bowl, they have been able to keep most of their starters and other key players. Players such as their starting quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo, and other offensive starters in Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, and Mike McGlinchey amongst others.
The defensive side is where things get even more impressive as seven defensive starters have remained with the team since their Super Bowl run.
Those starters are Nick Bosa, Jimmie Ward, Arik Armstead, D.J. Jones, Fred Warner, Emmanuel Mosley, and Jaquiski Tartt. It is also worth noting that the 49ers defense in 2019 was the second-ranked defense in the league in points allowed (19.4) and total yards allowed per game (281.8).
So far in the 2021 season, the 49ers defense has held their own in yards allowed per game as they are top-5 in the league allowing 324 ypg.
Remaining Schedule
Looking at the 49ers schedule, in the 10 games remaining, five of them come against teams with a below .500 record.
With the 49ers sitting at a 3-4 record right now, if they can win out against the below .500 teams and win at least two games against teams currently with an above .500 record, they could potentially be in line for a deep playoff run.
With plenty of playoff experienced players and a decent remaining schedule, the Niners Super Bowl odds could drop as the season goes on which makes betting on them sooner much more valuable.
