- Aaron Rodgers's interception total for the 2020 season is set at 6.5 interceptions.
GREEN BAY, Wisc. – One quarterback who is going to be heavily under a spotlight in the upcoming season is Aaron Rodgers.
The Green Bay Packers opted to go a different route in the draft, taking a quarterback in the first round rather than bringing in help to surround Rodgers.
With that being said, NFL sportsbooks have odds on the season total for interceptions thrown by Aaron Rodgers.
Aaron Rodgers – Total Interceptions
- Over 6.5 Interceptions -115
- Under 6.5 Interceptions -115
Aaron Rodgers has definitely been at the top of his game as he has posted two consecutive seasons with over 4,000 passing yards, 25 or more touchdowns, and four or fewer interceptions.
Some might think that total is set too high and could argue that he has not hit the over in the past two seasons, but the reality of it is that Rodgers is running out of help.
The only receiver on this Green Bay Packers team that is capable of consistently providing help for Rodgers every week is Davante Adams.
Being that the Packers are very thin in the receiving group, it leaves way too much room for error when Rodgers throws the ball. Rodgers is known to let loose and chuck the ball downfield at any time and with below-average receivers that just do not have the ability to get away from defenders, it could without a doubt lead to an interception.
With that being said the over should look like an enticing bet for bettors to make.
One strong case that bettors could argue when looking at the under, however, is the strength of the offensive line.
Their O-Line ranks amongst the best in the league which is great for a QB like Rodgers. This gives him more time to evaluate the situation when the receivers do run downfield.
Bettors should not be fooled by this as the low quality of receivers definitely outweighs has more of an effect than the offensive line.
