- Carson Wentz has demanded a trade away from the Philadelphia Eagles.
- Carson Wentz is favored to land with the Indianapolis Colts with +150 odds.
INDIANAPOLIS — As the NFL offseason has already begun for a good majority of the NFL, there have been rumors swirling on where Carson Wentz will end up next season.
Wentz recently demanded a trade away from the Philadelphia Eagles after coming out saying that his relationship with the organization is broken beyond repair after losing the starting job to rookie QB Jalen Hurts.
With Wentz rumored to be unhappy in Philly, NFL betting sites have taken note of it and are offering odds on where he will end up next season. Sitting at the top of the Wentz odds board is the Indianapolis Colts.
Carson Wentz Next Team Odds
- Indianapolis Colts +150
- Denver Broncos +250
- Chicago Bears +300
- New England Patriots +400
- Philadelphia Eagles +500
- Pittsburgh Steelers +600
- San Francisco 49ers +700
- Detroit Lions +800
- Washington Football Team +800
- New Orleans Saints +1000
The Indianapolis Colts odds are favored for a reason being that they have yet to hear back on if Philip Rivers will be retiring or not.
If Rivers were to retire, it only makes sense that Wentz would land with the Colts as they would be out of a starting quarterback. With that being said, bettors can certainly take advantage of the Colts’ odds before the Wentz rumors begin to heat up anymore.
Wentz could be a good fit with the Colts because their offensive line is one of the best in the league and they have better-receiving options than the Eagles have. Also, the running backs for the Colts offer a higher upside than those on the Eagles.
On the downside of things, Wentz could also come in and just not connect right away with the Colts as well.
Wentz has taken a bit of a hit mentally being that he was injured as the starter for the Eagles the year they won the Super Bowl and was also benched for a rookie QB in Jalen Hurts. Both of those things could definitely play a role in Wentz’s mindset going into a team like the Colts.
