DALLAS – In what has the potential to be the game of the Wild Card round, the Dallas Cowboys are going up against the San Francisco 49ers. The game is set to take place on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. EST inside of AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas.
NFL online sportsbooks are expecting this to be a close game as the Cowboys have just a 3-point spread leaning in their direction.
Dallas Cowboys Vs. San Francisco 49ers Odds
- Moneyline: Cowboys (-160) vs. 49ers (+135)
- Spread: Cowboys -3 (-115)
- Total: 51 Points
Although the Cowboys odds are in favor of them covering the spread, there is reason to believe that they could struggle based on their previous playoff games.
The Cowboys have been a home favorite in the playoffs 13 times and while they have gone 10-3 on the moneyline, they went 7-6 against the spread. In their last six games as a playoff home favorite though, they have gone an atrocious 1-5 ATS.
Some might argue that the Cowboys 13-4 record against the spread this season outweigh what they have done in the playoffs, however, this shows that they struggle under pressure.
49ers Not To Be Mistaken
Unfortunately for the Cowboys, the San Francisco 49ers are one of the top teams when paying on the road this season.
Looking at their overall record on the road, they went 6-3. As for how they did against the spread, as an away team this season, they went 5-4 ATS with a cover margin of 1.4 points. They also averaged a win margin of 3.8 points.
Backing up the 49ers covering, even more, is that they have covered the spread in four of their last five games to finish the season.
