NEW YORK — Jamal Adams could very well be on his way out of the New York Jets organization.
Adams is currently seeking a long term contract extension from the Jets and it is believed that the Jets want to give him that.
Over his three year stint in New York, he has put up superstar numbers with 273 total tackles, 12 sacks, six forced fumbles, two interceptions, 25 pass deflections and a touchdown.
Adams is on the final year of his four-year rookie deal that is worth $22.25 million. It is no surprise that Adams wants his contract extended as he is the top-dog on the Jets and wants to continue to be the leader.
Adams Flying Out Of The Jets
NFL sportsbooks currently have odds listed for which team Jamal Adams will be playing on during Week 1 of the 2020 season.
Being that Adams and the Jets are on the same page in wanting to get a contract done, the Jets are currently the favorites with -200 odds.
Where Will Jamal Adams Play Game 1 Of The 2020-2021 NFL Season
- New York Jets -200
- Dallas Cowboys +450
- Houston Texans +550
- Seattle Seahawks +1200
- Philadelphia Eagles +1400
- New Orleans Saints +1800
- Cleveland Browns +1800
- Miami Dolphins +1800
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers +1800
- San Francisco 49ers +1800
The Dallas Cowboys +450 odds would have been great during the 2019 season as there were rumors for Adams being linked to them.
Bettors are now learning that the Cowboys are reportedly not interested in trading for Adams as they have added both HaHa Clinton-Dix and Trevon Diggs to an above-average defensive back group.
The Cowboys also have problems of their own as they still try and figure out the Dak Prescott contract situation before signing anyone else.

With the Houston Texans +550 odds, they are not far behind the Cowboys.
The Texans cannot be ruled out being that they are a Texas-based team. Texas is where Adams is from.
