Jags, Lions, Texans Fight For Positioning In 2022 Draft

• The Jacksonville Jaguars have +150 odds to be awarded the second overall pick.
• The Houston Texans are favored to earn the third overall pick with +180 odds.

LAS VEGAS - The 2022 NFL Draft is only four months away and odds are available for which teams will earn which picks.

Second Overall Pick Odds: Jaguars Favored

The Jacksonville Jaguars currently hold the worst record in the NFL at 2-12, holding a slight lead over the Detroit Lions who currently have a 2-11-1 record. However, it seems as if NFL betting sites expect the Jaguars to improve more than the Lions in the remaining three games.

The Jaguars seemingly only have one winnable game on the schedule with the New York Jets, New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts remaining. The Lions’ last three games are against the Atlanta Falcons, Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers. The Lions’ tie earlier this season could prove to be detrimental to their chances to get the top pick which gives them good odds to earn the No. 2 pick.

There aren’t any available odds on who will get the first pick but simple deduction skills show that the Lions are who the sportsbooks expect to earn it.

Third Overall Pick Odds: Texans Favored

Looking at the standings, the third overall pick should come down to the Jets and Houston Texans and those betting on the NFL will find odds that agree.

It seems as if the Texans will lose their final three games of the season as the Los Angeles Chargers, San Francisco 49ers and Tennessee Titans are the last teams on the schedule. New York has a much better chance to get a win as they have Jacksonville on the schedule, which leaves Houston as the rightful favorite to pick third in the upcoming NFL draft.
