NEW ORLEANS – The announcement of Kendrick Lamar as the main performer at the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show came on Sunday. Marking a major return to the NFL’s biggest stage, the Grammy-winning rapper will be the headliner in New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome on February 9, 2025.
This will be Lamar’s second Super Bowl appearance, having previously performed alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Mary J. Blige at the 2022 show.

Lamar’s performance is expected to blend his signature thoughtfulness with a show-stopping display of creativity.
Fans are already buzzing about the possibility of guest performers, with New Orleans native Lil Wayne’s name surfacing. Master P publicly called for Wayne to join Lamar on stage.
And even last year, Wayne himself expressed how he’d dominate the show when asked how he’d feel about performing.
