- The Houston Texans have the shortest odds at +210 to be the team Deshaun Watson plays for in the regular season.
- The Carolina Panthers are listed at +600 odds to land Deshaun Watson before Week 1 of the regular season.
- The New England Patriots and Las Vegas Raiders are tied with the longest odds to get Deshaun Watson by Game 1 of the Regular Season with +2000 odds.
HOUSTON - The Houston Texans' relationship with quarterback Deshaun Watson has reached the point of no return as the disgruntled star still wants to be traded from the team.
Despite recently meeting with the Texans new head coach David Culley, Watson has remained firm on being traded away from Houston.
Per sources, Texans QB Deshaun Watson met with new Texans head coach David Culley last Friday. In that meeting Watson reiterated that he wants to be traded and told Culley he has no intention of playing for the Texans again. No change from Watson's end. He remains dug in.

The Texans have said that they do not intend on trading Watson but they don’t have much of a choice as he has no intention of ever playing for Houston again. Relations between the Texans and Watson have soured to the point where he will likely be traded with only a few teams able to meet Houston’s asking price.
The market for Watson isn’t as vast as one may think, thus making for a great betting opportunity. Bovada has listed betting odds on which team will Watson be playing for to start the 2021 regular season.
Where Will Deshaun Watson Play For Game 1 Of the NFL Regular Season
- Houston Texans +210
- Miami Dolphins +250
- New York Jets +300
- Denver Broncos +300
- Carolina Panthers +600
- San Francisco 49ers +1500
- Las Vegas Raiders +2000
- New England Patriots +2000
Despite Watson saying he won’t play for the Texans in 2021, they have the shortest odds at +210 of having the former Clemson Tigers star under center simply because Watson is still under contract after signing a massive 4-year/$160 million extension last September.
It’s safe to assume that Watson will not be with the Texans organization to start the season and there are two teams that bettors should focus on that could make a move for the 2020 leader in passing yards.
Miami Dolphins (+250)
The Miami Dolphins are a team that has an abundance of assets that could be bundled up to acquire Deshaun Watson. The package could include first-round draft picks and the Dolphins' young quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to sweeten the deal.
The Dolphins +250 odds are well worth the risk if looking for a team that has short odds to land Watson by the time the regular season starts that can actually meet or exceed the asking price.
Carolina Panthers (+600)
The Carolina Panthers are a sleeper team that could land Watson via trade before the regular season starts. The Panthers have been aggressive in the quarterback market this season as they’ll look to make an upgrade over last year’s starter Teddy Bridgewater.
Carolina under new head coach Matt Rhule along with an up-and-coming defense are a prime designation for Watson as he’d also be closer to his alma mater Clemson. The Panthers own the No. 8 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and could look to package that with more future first-round picks in exchange for Watson.
The +600 odds on the Panthers are well worth the risk as they have the cap space and have already shown they’ll be aggressive making moves to win.
Trading Deshaun Watson will officially signal the full rebuild in Houston as the Texans have released defensive lineman JJ Watt, a move likely further pushing Watson out the door.
