Packers, Chiefs Become Co-Favorites For Super Bowl 56

  • The Green Bay Packers are the +400 co-favorites along with the Kansas City Chiefs to win the Super Bowl.
  • The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have +750 odds as the third choice on the board.

LOS ANGELES - The Super Bowl 56 odds show two teams favored above the rest of the field as the No. 1 seed in each conference holds the shortest odds.

SUPER BOWL 56 (2022) - Odds To Win

  • Green Bay Packers +400
  • Kansas City Chiefs +400
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers +750
  • Los Angeles Rams +800
  • Buffalo Bills +900
  • Dallas Cowboys +1000

The NFC’s Top Seed: Green Bay Packers (+400)

It’s no secret that earning a first-round bye in the playoff has proven to be crucial for a team’s chances to make the Super Bowl. This season it seems as if the Green Bay Packers are on their way to earning the NFC’s No. 1 seed as they hold the NFL’s best record at 12-3 on the season.

The NFC is certainly the tougher of the two conferences as aside from Green Bay there are four other teams with 10+ wins.

The Packers are expected to improve to 13-3 with a win over the Minnesota Vikings this week as the team is -300 on the moneyline as a 6.5-point favorite.

The AFC’s Top Seed: Kansas City Chiefs (+400)

The Kansas City Chiefs are currently holding the top spot in the AFC with their 11-4 record and are favored by NFL betting sites to win the Super Bowl alongside the Packers.

Kansas City started the season 2-3 but is currently in the midst of an eight-game winning streak that is expected to be stretched to nine in Week 17.

Chiefs vs Bengals Spread Odds

  • Kansas City Chiefs -4.5 -115
  • Cincinnati Bengals +4.5 -105

For all the same reasons why Green Bay is in a good position to win the Super Bowl, Kansas City is in a similar boat. Actually, it can be argued that the Chiefs are in a better spot since the AFC is weaker with just one other team with 10+ wins.

The Best Of The Rest: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+750)

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were the favorites for a large portion of the season but have since become the third option overall. Those betting on the NFL would’ve been ecstatic if Tampa Bay was offered at +750 as recent as a few weeks ago and bettors should be equally as happy to get them at this price now.

With an 11-4 record and undefeated 4-0 record against the opposing conference, Tampa Bay seems to be a solid bet, especially at nearly double the price as the Packers and Chiefs. If there’s one takeaway over the last 20+ years of the NFL it’s not to bet against Tom Brady.
