LOS ANGELES – Super Bowl 56 is just one week away and the Cincinnati Bengals are going into the game considered as the home team which has allowed them to pick what color jerseys they are going to wear.
With that, the Bengals have opted to wear their black jersey’s leaving the Los Angeles Rams to wear white in the game. With that, some might argue that the Bengals have made a huge mistake in the jersey color.
Over the last 17 Super Bowls the team that has worn white in the game has come out on top 14 times. The only three teams to not wear white and win the Super Bowl over the last 17 years were the 2011 Green Bay Packers, 2018 Philadelphia Eagles, and the 2020 Kansas City Chiefs. The streak started back in 2005 at Super Bowl XXXIX when the New England Patriots defeated the Philadelphia Eagles.
Also, the Bengals have worn black in the Super Bowl once before at Super Bowl XXIII in 1989 where they were defeated by the San Francisco 49ers 20-16.

Not only were the Rams Super Bowl odds favored prior to the jersey selection, this makes their case as the favorite even stronger. Also, the Rams will have home-field advantage on their side.
It is also worth taking a look at the Rams record when playing in their white jerseys this season. The Rams are tied for the best record in the league when wearing their away jersey’s going 7-2. All in all, for those that believe in conspiracies, the Rams are the obvious choice to make.
