- Andy Reid leads the head-to-head series against John Harbaugh 5-2.
- Another nine games this season will feature Super Bowl winning coaches in the matchup.
- Maybe the most important to the Super Bowl odds is Ravens/Cowboys on September 22.
KANSAS CITY – The Baltimore Ravens narrowly fell to the Kansas City Chiefs, 27-20 on Thursday when a late game-winning touchdown by tight end Isaiah Likely was ruled out of bounds by a toe. Patrick Mahomes connected with Xavier Worthy for two touchdowns, shifting the game but not the Super Bowl odds this season.
As the Chiefs covered the spread by four points, they remain atop the SBLIX oddsboard, having the first win of any team this season. A lot of that has to do with coaching, and this matchup marked the first game this year between Super Bowl winning coaches. With Andy Reid having three Super Bowl rings and John Harbaugh having one, this battle came down to coaches who know how to make a postseason run.
Harbaugh spent 10 years with Reid as the head coach in Philadelphia and are often talking football at the highest level. But this is one of 10 games this year when two Super Bowl winning head coaches will meet.

Steelers Face Hard Schedule
Outside of the few divisional matchups (Chiefs/Broncos, Steelers/Ravens), there are five notable in-conference games to pay attention to.
The Steelers see five of these games, with three of them at home and two away. While Mike Tomlin’s team may not be of Super Bowl quality this year (+5000 to win the Super Bowl), he’s never an easy out and will be the next matchup going against Sean Payton.
Though Sean Payton represents Denver, it was when the Saints Super Bowl odds paid out during his time in New Orleans that give him the title. Similarly, Mike McCarthy is supporting the Cowboys Super Bowl odds despite winning as the head coach of Green Bay.
With the two AFC championship betting favorites competing Thursday, the Rams’ Sean McVay is a lone representative for the NFC outside of McCarthy. The Rams Super Bowl odds are at +3300 so it’s hard to call them in but should also never be overlooked.
- Fun fact: Doug Pederson is the only active Super Bowl winning coach to win as a player too.
