NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Titans were one week removed from booting the defending Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots out of the playoffs have recently claimed their second victim by way of the Baltimore Ravens on their “Can You Stop Derrick Henry Tour?”.
The Tennessee Titans pulled off an improbable 28-12 upset victory over the No. 1 seeded Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Divisional round of the playoffs. Henry rushed for 195 yards on 30 carries while adding in his first career passing touchdown in the game. The former Heisman Trophy winner has put together two back to back 180+ rushing yard performances while getting at least 30 carries in each game.
The Titans were 10-point underdogs coming into the game and with their win not only did they cover the spread, but they also provided sportsbooks nationwide with their biggest “win” of the NFL season.
According to ESPN the SuperBook at Westgate Las Vegas had their biggest win of the season.
“So many parlays to Baltimore money line and guys chasing the Ravens in-game. Under was big, too,” said Executive Director at the sportsbooks John Murray
The Ravens were a favorite among bettors not only to beat Tennessee in the Divisional round but to win Super Bowl 54. However, Baltimore’s loss didn’t come in the AFC Championship game to ease the loss for a lot of bettors. This allowed for sportsbooks to make an even bigger profit on the Ravens loss.
Darren Rovell reported that a bettor at MGM Sportsbook in Las Vegas lost $420,000 on Baltimore’s -420 money line odds.
For more perspective on just how much money was bet on the Ravens, Rovell also shared this tweet:
77% of the money at William Hill sportsbooks, which have more sportsbooks than anyone in North America, was on the Ravens (-9.5) tonight. They had a more lopsided % of the money than any favorite this weekend.

Sportsbooks will look to capitalize on another possible upset next week as the Titans travel West to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game. Much of the public is expected to be betting on the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes. If the Titans pull off one more upset it could net sportsbooks an even bigger “win” heading into the Super Bowl.
