Super Bowl 59 Odds Risers & Fallers After Week 4

  • The Kansas City Chiefs remain favored to win Super Bowl 59 despite their odds falling to +500.
  • Internal issue caused the New York Jets SB59 odds to fall.
  • The Baltimore Ravens, Minnesota Vikings, and Detroit Lions all saw their Super Bowl LIX odds rise.

NEW ORLEANS – Week 4 of the NFL was an eventful one that saw some surprising losses, key injuries, and major wins that all had impacts on Super Bowl 59 odds. Most of the movement came at the top of the odds board with contenders in the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens. All said, Super Bowl betting sites were busy adjusting their odds.

Super Bowl 59 Fallers

Kansas City Chiefs (+450 to +500)

While they remained the favorites, the Chiefs Super Bowl odds did fall slightly. This comes as their breakout star receiver, Rashee Rice, suffered a season ending torn ACL after a collision with Patrick Mahomes.

Rice was the leader of the receiving core for the Chiefs having already gone for 288 yards and 2 TDs through four games. Kansas City is already thin at receiver being down Hollywood Brown who is out for the year, and Travis Kelce is off to an extremely slow start having gone scoreless and for less than 200 yards in four games.

At the end of the day, there is value in taking the Chiefs odds as they fall as we’ve seen Mahomes work his magic before and win the Super Bowl.

New York Jets (+1600 to +2100)

The addition and long awaited debut of Aaron Rodgers might not be so pleasant for them New York Jets. The Jets are currently 2-2 and coming off of a horrible loss to the Denver Broncos where they lost on a missed field goal from Greg Zuerlein in the final seconds.

Other than their Week 4 loss, there are also some rumored internal issues between Rodgers and head coach Rober Saleh. With the chemistry issues both on and off the field, the Jets Super Bowl odds could head back to a familiar place which is the bottom of the odds board.

New Orleans Saints (+3400 to +5000)

The New Orleans Saints have come back to planet Earth after they opened the season scoring 47 and 44 points in the first two weeks and boasting a 2-0 record. Since then, they’ve dropped two straight games scoring less than 30 points both times. They also have a tough two games ahead of them against the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs and currency NFC South leaders, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Super Bowl 59 Risers

Baltimore Ravens (+1400 to +800)

After starting the season 0-2, Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens have turned things around with 4+ touchdowns in two straight games while adding to the win column as well. The offense seems to be coming together with newly acquired Derrick Henry who compiled under 150 rushing yards total in the first two games and a total of 350 yards and four touchdowns in the Ravens last two games.

It is also worth noting that their turn around to +800 odds is the lowest that their odds have been post Week 4 since 2020 when they were +500.

Minnesota Vikings (+2500 to +1400)

The only people that expected the Minnesota Vikings to be undefeated at 4-0 going into Week 5 are Minnesota Vikings fans. Everything is falling in place for them and as long as it continues to fall in place, their odds will continue to shrink. They have the fourth highest scoring offense in the league (29 ppg), and fourth strongest defense (14.8 papg). The resurgence of Sam Darnold has also done wonders for the team as he is top 10 in passing yards (932), the league leader in touchdowns (11), and the third highest in QBR (73.5).

Detroit Lions (+1200 to +1000)

While it isn’t the biggest movement on the odds board, the Detroit Lions Super Bowl odds continue to inch closer to one of the top contending in the league. The defense has allowed less than three touchdowns in three of four games this season, Jared Goff is moving the ball with ease with the fifth most passing yards in the league (1,015) and also throwing the ball with a career high 71% completion rate. The Lions +1000 odds are the shortest they have been since 2011.
