NEW ORLEANS – The stage is set for Super Bowl 59 between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. This marks Kansas City’s fifth Super Bowl appearance in six years while this is the Eagles third appearance in eight years.

Rematch Is Set

This is now the second meeting in the Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. The two met in Super Bowl 57 where Philly was a 2.5-point favorite with a 51.5-point total. The Chiefs went on to win and the over hit as well.

Since then, they met just one other time in the 2023 regular season where the Chiefs were a 2.5-point favorite and a 45.5-point total was set. The Eagles went on to win 21-17.

Super Bowl 59 Odds Journey

It’s been quite the journey to get here for both the Chiefs and the Eagles this season. Kansas City with +500 preseason Super Bowl 59 odds and have remained amongst the favorites ever since. The Eagles opened at +1200 odds in the preseason and didn’t see odds under +1000 until Week 12 of the season when they dipped to +850.

It wasn’t until Week 14 that the Eagles (+490) made the jump over Kansas City (+510) for the shortest Super Bowl 59 odds and were the favorites to win. In Week 16 though, the odds flipped back to Kansas City as the favorites and remained their heading into the playoffs.

Going into the Wild Card Round, Kansas City was listed at +350 while the Eagles went in at +680. That gap got much closer prior to the Divisional Round with the Chiefs still favored at +350, however, Philadelphia came down to +420.

Philly and Kansas City made the flip one last time going into the Conference Championships where the Eagles were the odds on favorites to win the Super Bowl at +190 and Kansas City right behind them at +220.
