EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Another week of NFL football is ready to begin, with an exciting Thursday night matchup to start the action.
The New York Jets host the Denver Broncos in a contest between two teams looking for direction.
The winless Jets are looking for anyone to step up to lead the team out of the cellar of the league standings, while the Broncos continue their search for a quarterback to replace the injured Drew Lock.
Betting odds and lines are now available for the game, with the most options obtainable via the international online sportsbooks.
Thursday Night Football – 8:20 p.m. EST
- Moneyline: DEN -105 vs. NYJ -120
- Spread: NYJ -1
- Over/Under: 41 Points
The Jets are looking for any sort of hope after starting the season 0-3.
The Jets have put their faith in franchise quarterback Sam Darnold, who threw three interceptions, two returned for touchdowns, in a 36-7 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. While that is a rough statistic for the young quarterback, Darnold did have some moments of brilliance, like when he scrambled to find his receiver in the endzone in the first quarter.

That play was probably the only bright spot for Jets fans on Sunday, as the defense continued to miss tackles and allow big plays.
The Jets have by far their best opportunity for a win this week in the Denver Broncos, who are struggling to find a replacement at quarterback following an injury to Drew Lock.
The Broncos are also winless but were showing signs of strength before Lock went down with a shoulder issue in Week 2.
This injury concern is what has the NFL oddsmakers giving New York the slightest of edges in this matchup.
Bettors looking for some more value through some interesting prop bets should check out the “Race to 25 points” bet available on many online sportsbooks.
Race To 25 Points
- New York Jets +250
- Denver Broncos +260
- Neither -110
Neither the Jets nor the Broncos have managed to score 25 points so far this season, but with both teams needing a win, something has to break eventually.
A split bet on both teams to reach 25 will still payout due to the huge plus odds available. Savvy bettors can use this to their advantage, guaranteeing a payout regardless of which team gets to 25.
While scoring 25 points will be a challenge, there is plenty of value available here for the taking.
