INDIANAPOLIS – The AFC South could be decided this Sunday when the Indianapolis Colts line up against the Tennessee Titans.
This will be the second meeting between the teams, with both squads entering the matchup at 7-3 on the season. With the Houston Texans sitting at 3-7 and the Jacksonville Jaguars at 1-9, this is the final divisional matchup of the AFC South this season.
Betting odds are available for the matchup, with the Colts getting the slight edge on the major online sportsbooks.
NFL Week 12 – Sunday 1:00 p.m. EST:
- Tennessee Titans +170
- Indianapolis Colts -200
- Spread: IND -3.5
- O/U: 51.0
The previous matchup came just two weeks ago, where the Colts earned a defining 34-17 win over Tennessee.
That was one of Phillip Rivers’ best performances of the year, going 29/39 for 308 yards and a touchdown. Derrick Henry ran for 103 yards, but it wasn’t enough for the Titans as Ryan Tannehill only threw for 147 yards on 15 of 27 passes.
This lack of balance has been the issue for the Titans all season. Usually, they are able to overcome the lack of passing consistency with Henry’s running like they did last week to edge out an overtime win over the Baltimore Ravens.

Unfortunately for the Titans and Henry, the Colts have one of the best defenses in the NFL by a number of metrics.
The Colts rank second in the league in average yards allowed at 291.9, third in the league in average rushing yards allowed with 89.2, fourth in the league in average passing yards allowed with 208.9, and fifth in the league in scoring defense allowing just 20.8 points per game.
If the Titans want to win this game and lock in their playoff hopes they will have to establish a balanced attack outside of just Derrick Henry. This means getting tight end Jonnu Smith back involved in the offense and trusting weapons like receiver AJ Brown to make plays if given the opportunity.
NFL bettors looking to wager on this game can find a number of prop bets available in addition to the standard spread or moneyline bets via the online international sportsbooks.
